This past year I have aimlessly bounced back and forth between EN, DTPO, Dropbox, iCloud, Notion, GDrive, and OneNote. I used Evernote for probably 10 years and DTPO 1 year. I'm now primarily using straight Dropbox and text files. I always found myself constantly hitting the sync button because I didn't trust that what I just added on iOS would be there when I sit down at my Mac. If I'm editing a document and I pause for any amount of time, I want a sync to kick off. "We sync when we think it is appropriate." My opinion is nozbe/Evernote blows toodledo/onenote away.ĭevonThink's approach to sync is my biggest issue with it. Toodledo- ok but really more just tasks while I was using it, integrating to onenote My current setup is the best small project setup I've had in years.īack to your post the only alternatives I've tried are:Įmacs- don't feel practical in Windows and at least as of my usage no clients The icing on the cake i added recently was subscribing to nozbe to manage my tasks (reminders) i create in Evernote. I also like that it's freeform enough to develop my own style. Evernote works reasonably consist across all. I have work windows, work iphone, and personal Android tablet. What i like most about Evernote is multiplatform. However I could survive on free if starting today. For me plus is a good set of features for reasonable price. I could see a little heartburn over dropping of plus, but I got in before the drop. It often confuses me how many people judging from this sub-reddit are jumping off Evernote. I still contribute to the team based onenote stuff, but I switched to Evernote about 1 yr ago for my non team stuff and love it. I swam upstream with that in a Windows world for years, then when switching jobs one more time I just didnt feel the motivation to set it up one more time, and since everyone else was on the onenote bandwagon i tried to make it work. Maybe there are things that actually do all of these things.įunny you mention emacs. Perhaps I am looking for something that does not exist. Ultimately, I would like a platform that:Ģ) gives me a few fields (not tags) so I can put different layers of organization into the notesĦ) allows me to create storyboards with notes without actually moving things out of a database (i.e., I should be able to use my notes on multiple storyboards) I haven't seen one that does this and handles a large database well. These are all excellent, but I need to be able to drag and drop a page from a PDF file or plug in a JPEG of a photographed document without any hassle. Onenote is also cute in its own way.Ģ) There are self-hosted markdown databases. I don't see how it is better than Evernote. You get note previews and not a list of notes, which I think is not very useful for serious work. Bear, I think, falls under this category. I have tried some of the competition and what I see are two trends, neither of which are headed my way.ġ) There are apps for web clipping and light note-taking (for people who never actually consult most of their notes). I have too much work to invest much time learning something like Emacs. Note previews, "notebook-style" apps, MD editors, etc. Although I appreciate having a mobile app, what I most need is a well-functioning and fast native Mac desktop app. I am not worried about privacy as such and don't mind paying for a platform that is better suited to my needs. Evernote is not head and shoulders above the competition on this front, but it's good enough to cause inertia. I have a little more than ten thousand notes, some of which have clipped images and PDF files. I use Evernote primarily as a filing cabinet for research notes. As a long time Evernote user, I am - and have been - ready to ditch the service because it is 1)expensive to keep 2)it is cluttered with features without giving me much by way of organizational features.

Many of us don’t realize how much money we actually spend until we document everything. Overall, how do I feel about my finances this month? Why?.What are my goals for the next month? How long will it take to achieve these goals?.Did I achieve any short or long-term goals for the month? Why or why not?.Where did I fall below my projected budget? Where did I go over? Why?.Calculate the difference between your projected costs and actual costs. Column 4, Difference: Evaluate your spending for the month.Every purchase, including small items like lattes, fast food and tabloids, should be accounted for. Column 3, Actual Costs: At the end of each month, tally all of your expenses.Consider cutting entertainment expenses and other non-essentials until your income allows for them. If it does, you need to make some adjustments. Your projected costs should not exceed your total monthly income. Again, past bank statements can help with this task. Column 2, Projected Costs: Estimate the amount of money you expect to spend in each category throughout the month.Review past bank statements to get a feel for the types of purchases you make on a regular basis. Be sure to create a “Miscellaneous” category for unexpected items and purchases that don’t easily fit into other categories. Finally, the smallest unit on a ruler is 1/16 inch. This would mean that the corn is 6 1/8 inches long. Note: PPI numbers will be stored just on your web browser. You find that your ruler comes to the second line after the 6-inch mark. Lastly, you can use the "Restore PPI" button to refresh all the settings.Even more, you can change the Pixels per inch(PPI) to make the ruler more accurate and save it for future use. Therefore, using this feature, you can measure the smallest accurate size of the object. When you change it to 1/32 then you can see the very small lines appear in between two inches. There are three graduations that you can choose: 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32. Also, you can change the graduation of an inch. The upper side of the ruler is mm and cm. As mentioned before, the ruler has a mm, cm, and inch scale. So, after removing the object you can see the length clearly. You can click on the ruler to mark a red line. For measuring, firstly, place the object near to the screen.Refer above section if you didn't do that. But we recommend you do the calibration process before using it for very accurate results. The sets are available with or without the Rack-It.It's very simple to use this virtual tool. You can choose any Paolini Pocket Rule by itself, or save some money with a set of three (same material, same graduation option). Choose from 6", 8" or 12" (metric-only models are 150mm, 200mm and 300mm). Ordering Options: Single Rules or Get the Set and Save! Paolini Pocket Rules come in three different lengths. It’s a perfect fit for either the anodized aluminum or stainless steel rules. Like our other clever Rack-Its, the PPR Rack-It has three perfectly sized and shaped hooks making it just right to hold a full set of rules. To keep your Paolini Pocket Rules handy, we offer the Paolini Pocket Rule Rack-It. Regardless of the material or graduation choice you make, you’ll love the clean, precise look of our state-of-the-art laser engraving, as will generations of woodworkers to come. Both are available with your choice of inch-only, metric-only or inch-metric combo scales. The anodized aluminum rule is 1/8" thick and the stainless model is 1/16" thick. Both are milled to a precise 1-inch width. If you prefer a thinner rule, go for the stainless steel version. The bright white laser engraved scales on the “Woodpecker Red” anodized surface make the original aluminum Paolini Pocket Rule one of the easiest-to-read rules on the market, as well as one of the lightest. Two material choices and three graduation options. It’s a welcome feature if your shop lighting isn’t perfect or if your eyesight isn’t what it used to be. Same thing for the end scale, just flip it over to look at finer or coarser graduations. They’re lined up so if you need the finer scale, you just flip the rule over and you’re there. The standard model has 1/16" and 1/32" scales on both sides. Now your rule has a perfect stand to keep it upright while you use both hands to dial in the height of a router bit, saw blade or dado stack, matching it to the easy-to-read scale engraved on the end of the rule.Įasy-to-Use graduation design. When you need vertical measurement, slide the stop off the end and insert it into the cut-out on the blade. Set your stop, place a pencil in the notch, and you’ve got an instant marking gauge. There’s also a fine notch in the end of the rule. Lock it in to make repetitive measurements on multiple boards. What sets Paolini Pocket Rules apart from all others? The most unique feature is the stop that slides up and down the length of the blade. Mogo reserves the right to change or terminate this offer at any time without notice in its sole discretion. Though characters other than Joker are limited to using only their own Persona. Your party: you can play as any combination of 4 of the Phantom Thieves (and some guests!) during combat and swap between them using the D-pad.If you’re playing as Joker you can pause time, swap Personas mid-combat, and cast spells and abilities on the fly. Personas: during combat you can call upon your Persona.Although it is no longer turn-based and instead gives the player full control over their character’s movement, it incorporates many of the aspects of Persona’s combat: It really wouldn’t be a Warriors game without button-mashing combat and swarms of enemies, but Strikers does incredibly well in allowing this combat to feel as much like the original game as possible. The first Jail, which has an Alice in Wonderland theme. You’ll fight swarms of enemies and bosses to progress further through the Jail, and eventually confront the Monarch at the end in order to change their corrupted heart. These dungeons involve solving puzzles, clever areas of platforming, and of course plenty of combat which is certainly the highlight of the game. Overall the gameplay is quite simple and easily approachable: as you progress through the story you’ll trigger scripted events in which you explore new Jails (which are essentially large dungeons). There is also still plenty of character interaction and amusing dialogue, though “social links” now have been completely replaced with a simplified “bond level” that allows you to unlock and upgrade various abilities. Managing your team and their equipment is still an important aspect – the only difference is you no longer visit physical stores (so no more Airsoft Shop or Takemi Clinic), instead all of your items are ordered online and delivered directly to the Hideout. And that’s a good thing!Įlements like Persona collection and fusion return, and will see you making regular trips to the Velvet Room in-between missions. I had to regularly remind myself I wasn’t playing a true sequel to Persona 5, as it’s quite easy to forget. Many Persona staples make a return in Strikers, making the game feel far much more like a follow-up than a Warriors spin-off. Even the Phantom Thieves need to take time off occasionally. It feels almost like a coming-of-age story, but makes for an amusing setting and a creative way to explore new regions. In an oversized camper van that becomes their mobile base, you explore new settings around Japan and discover new jails to uncover those responsible. Shortly after the initial events set in Tokyo/Shibuya, the Phantom Thieves set off on a road trip. In the place of Sae Nijima (the prosecutor from the original game), the team now begin working alongside police inspector, Zenkichi Hasegawa, and must determine whether he is friend or foe. Early on you come across an artificial intelligence affectionately named Sophia, who becomes a playable character in the metaverse and essentially lives inside Joker’s phone. Several new characters are introduced and are key to the plot of the game. Yeah, I don’t think real life jails usually look like this… It’s a premise much the same as those of Persona 5. After attending a public meet and greet with pop star, Alice Hiiragi, the Phantom Thieves are given a calling card and discover they can use the app to enter the Metaverse allowing them to explore new “Jails” to confront the shadow versions of people behaving abnormally in real life. Upon gathering the crew, the group discover a popular new phone app known as EMMA taking the world by storm. Set only months after the events of Persona 5 (the base game, not Royal, so no Kasumi), protagonist and leader of the infamous Phantom Thieves, Joker, decides to get the gang back together again for a reunion. And now Persona is the latest series to fall victim with Persona 5 Strikers.īut the catch? It barely feels like a Warriors game at all. These can be very different usually depending on who’s making them. You’ll see all sorts of recommendations for minimum speed for the highest quality videos. Although remember the speed of the streaming site is also relevant and can cause buffering in the fastest internet connection. Normally though you won’t see any buffering if your internet speed is sufficient. If you have a bigger household, with more than one person intending to watch streaming TV at the same time (or use the internet for other heavy needs such as gaming or video calls), get a speed of at least 38Mb if you possibly can. Planet Earth on BBCįor HD streaming on ONE DEVICE at a time, and no one else at your house doing anything “heavy” on the internet, something like a 15-20mb broadband package is usually enough. Speed is definitely the key, the main factor being your internet connection’s speed. If you want continuous streams without interruptions and buffer delays, then look into getting a streaming device that can pause/stop if there’s enough room in the buffer(s). If you are not able to stream your preferred show on time due to buffering issues, it may be best for you to find a different service provider with fast broadband. With the increasing popularity of streaming TV, an internet connection is necessary to access online content. Anyone who tries to watch everything online would reach data caps if they are limited with their current plan that has no unlimited data usage. Also forget about internet deals with data limits. This graphic design trend revisits the heady early days of the internet through the eyes of digital natives seeking to break the mould of cookie-cutter templates, even it means making design that's intentionally disorientating. Instead, they're turning to the influence of what's been described as a new anti-design: an anything-goes riot of clashing colours, types, irregular shapes and jarring collages. In fact we can see this by using a recursive grep in ~/Library for the name of one of my meetings. The github user has a different name than the project author (who has his own empty github profile elsewhere) so The only public code I could find for this project by this author is 13 years old and lacks any code to open the meeting links or handle hotkeys of any kind. Also I tried to write an app that would call command line utilities and it was a bear to get the permissions. Actually I looked at the version history and since it used to always open them in Chrome that's probably not the case. I'm guessing that all Next Meeting does is run the command line utility `open` with the contents of the LOCATION field from the ICS file corresponding to the entry. Window.location = `zoommtg:///join?action=join&confno=$` However if I hit my shortcut key (with or without Next Meeting's menu open) it opens up the meeting link in the browser which then, in JS, does something like Clicking any of the items in the menu opens Calendar where I need to click the Zoom link in the text of the description of the meeting. Then Next Meeting makes a drop down menu in my menubar where the title is the name of my next meeting. In Calendar.app this link is still present inside of the calendar event in the LOCATION field although you can't actually see or edit it in there, odd. I have linked macOS's Calendar.app with Google Calendar. These can either be a Google Meet link, or a Zoom meeting link (through our Zoom integration with Google Calendar). When we create meetings in Google Calendar (in the desktop browser never tried anywhere else) we can add a video conferencing link to the invitation.
